How to Use Polling to Engage Users in a Zoom Meeting

Purpose: The Zoom online conferencing tool offers hosts the ability to deploy a poll that participants must answer. The poll can be deployed at any point at the start, in the middle, or at the end of a meeting. Additionally, a host may build several different polls to be deployed at different times during the meeting.

Polls are a great way to engage participants, check for understanding, and populate a record of results. However, it is important to build all needed polls before starting a meeting so they can be deployed correctly. In addition, it is recommended to require participants to register before entering a meeting to accurately collect user information in polling results.
